Pepsi, Musicmaker Partner on Promo Campaign

Pepsi Cola and Musicmaker.com yesterday agreed to launch a promotional campaign called “Choose Your Music” on May 15.

As part of the promotion, consumers can collect points on Pepsi products and redeem them for a free customized compact disc on Musicmaker.com.

Points will be printed on 1.5 billion packages of Pepsi products. Musicmaker will include 160 tracks from 100 artists, including Faith Hill, Tim McGraw, Phil Collins, Sugar Ray and Busta Rhymes among others.

Once consumers get enough points for a free CD, they can order it at in-store displays and then mail in the form. Pepsi’s Web site, www.pepsi.com, will maintain an updated list of available artists, while Musicmaker will produce and ship the CDs.
