OgilvyOne NY chief creative officer resigns

Chief creative officer Mat Zucker resigned his position with OgilvyOne

New York, a source at the agency said on Jan. 13. Zucker’s duties will be absorbed by Alfonso Marian, who served as chief creative officer alongside Zucker since joining the office last July, the source said.

AgencySpy first reported news of Zucker’s departure on Jan. 13.

Zucker rejoined WPP-owned OgilvyOne NY in April 2009 as executive creative director after leaving in 2005 to serve as ECD at digital agency R/GA and then in the same position at Agency.com’s NY office.

The source said OgilvyOne NY employees were notified of Zucker’s departure via an internal memo sent on Jan. 13.

Zucker serves on the board of the John Caples International Awards, a partner of Direct Marketing News.
