OAG, SideStep move toward better vertical search

Global travel and transport information company OAG and travel search engine SideStep have partnered to enhance OAG’s search functionality.

The partnership enables OAG users to compare and book flights into and out of any particular airport, instead of providing only a database of flight timetables.

SideStep’s real-time search technology is expected to further enhance OAG’s current travel services search capabilities for customers seeking the most up-to-date flight timetables.

SideStep, Santa Clara, CA, already has direct relationships with major travel suppliers. The SideStep partnership provides OAG with booking abilities to complement its extensive airline schedules database. The database includes 1,000 airlines and 3,500 airports worldwide.

OAG’s core activities are the management and distribution of information within the passenger and cargo sectors and providing travel information to business travelers. This year OAG, Bedfordshire, England, will track 28 million flight departures.
