Media giant Nielsen Co.’s Nielsen Business Media unit and JWT, the nation’s leading advertising agency, have partnered to debut JWT NewsWatch, a customized news and information portal for the shop’s employees.
The joint effort will offer JWT staffers access to content from more than 40 Nielsen titles including Brandweek, Adweek, Mediaweek, Billboard and the Hollywood Reporter. InfoDesk’s enterprise news management technology powers the site.
“In creating this new service with JWT, our goal is to provide a completely customized product that filters the news and information that gets to the heart of what JWT employees need to do their jobs better and to serve their clients more effectively,” Howard Applebaum, vice president of licensing and events at Nielsen Business Media, said in a statement.
JWT NewsWatch includes a landing page with the pertinent advertising, marketing and media news from Nielsen-owned publications as well as the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal. There is a section devoted to JWT and 19 client-specific pages. Original weekly roundup articles also feature on JWT NewsWatch.
JWT, previously known as J. Walter Thompson Co., is the world’s fourth largest full-service agency network. It is a part of British agency holding firm WPP Group PLC.
