New Pub Will Target Digital Tech Enthusiasts

MKTG SF and Prosumer Media Corp. yesterday announced a collaboration to launch Dig_iT, a magazine they claimed would be a digital lifestyle publication.

The target audience will be the top 10 percent of the tech enthusiast market, the companies said. Based on market research by the firms, the target demographic will be 60 percent male with an age range of 30-50.

The magazine is to debut this fall and is the creation of Fred Davis and David Bunnell. Davis is a founder of the Ziff-Davis computer publishing division and a former editor of PC Magazine, PC Week and MacUser. He was also instrumental in the launches of Wired and CNET. Bunnell is best known for launching magazines including PC Magazine, PC World and Macworld.

Recipients of Dig_iT will include paid subscribers as well as qualified circulation.

MKTG SF and Prosumer Media Corp. are both in San Francisco.
