New database targets homeowners

Melissa Data now offers an online Homeowner database that provides comprehensive information on both absentee and on-site homeowners and their properties.

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA-based Melissa Data said the Homeowner database covers more than 2,600 counties and 98 percent of mortgage transactions nationwide. Currently, there are more than 100 million records available, with more than two million records added monthly. The data is obtained from proprietary sources as well as county recorder and tax assessor records.

“Because it’s real data – not modeled data like some other list providers offer – clients can refine their search with a high degree of accuracy to include only records that contain air conditioning, swimming pools, absentee owners and many other selects,” said John Hull, vice president of list sales at Melissa Data, in a statement.

Melissa Data said the Homeowner database is the perfect tool for mortgage lenders, title companies, appraisers, developers, insurance brokers and pool contractors. It’s available at Melissa Data’s Web site, where businesses can now chat online and get real-time recommendations and price quotes from Melissa Data’s team of data specialists.

“Absentee and on-site homeowners represent a segment of the population with substantial buying power,” said Mr. Hull. “Using the Homeowner database, businesses may customize, order, and download targeted lists to reach the right households with their offer – in areas as local as a single ZIP Code to properties spread out across the nation.”
