E-commerce technology company mySimon, Sunnyvale, CA, launched a comparison Web-shopping engine last week that can search thousands of online merchants in real time as well as deliver information on millions of products. The system was developed for private licensing by portals to help consumers quickly find what they are looking for.
MySimon provides information on product prices and availability along with reviews and links to merchant kiosk pages, which include merchant shipping information, policies, rebates and special offers. Consumers can conduct searches for products in categories such as computers, electronics, books, music gourmet food, wine and gifts. Currently, mySimon searches through more than 800 Web merchants.
