Most Online Gamblers Only Deal Their Dough At Casinos

Though gambling Web sites are visited three times more often than casinos, a study announced yesterday by Internet research firm Greenfield’s Online Inc. showed that most online bettors spent little or no money and only 2 percent thought Internet betting was fun.

The study showed that 81 percent of Web gamblers will only play for free; and of those who are willing to play with cash, 61 percent bet $10 or less. The Wilton, CT-based company said that Internet wagering wasn’t duplicating the increasing success of casino gambling because online bettors found the activity to be lonely and unexciting.
