MMA releases new best practices guidelines

The Mobile Marketing Association released the latest version of its U.S. Consumer Best Practices (CBP) Guidelines for Cross-Carrier Mobile Content Services today. The guidelines include best practices for text messaging, multimedia messaging, shortcode programs, interactive voice response as well as the mobile Web.

The updates to this 5.0 version include new guidelines for affiliate marketing for premium rate programs as well as new guidelines to ensure STOP and HELP keywords work in each program’s native language.

As the mobile ecosystem continues to evolve, so too does the need for best practices for marketing in mobile.
