Micron Adds Dx500 to Desktop PC Line

Micron Electronics, Nampa, ID, earlier this week introduced the latest addition to its ClientPro line of desktop PC’s, called ClientPro Dx500, for corporate and government customers and power users. It is based on Intel’s Pentium III processor and the Intel 840 workstation-class chipset.

Micron will target the system to enterprise IT buyers looking to build systems to support high-powered, business-critical functions such as databases, customer contact systems, Web libraries and statistical analysis. The system will feature one or two Intel Pentium Processors, support for the 133MHz front-side bus and ATA-66 hard drive standard, an Intel 840 workstation-class chipset which supports RAMBUS memory, choice of four high-performance graphics solutions and five available slots for adding specialty cards.
