MeritDirect anounced its appointment as list manager for 70 list files with 1.6 million contacts from Penton Media Inc., effective immediately.
Based in Cleveland, Penton is a business-to-business media firm that offers trade magazines, trade shows, conferences and online media. The files, previously managed internally at Penton, include 10 databases, 37 postal lists and 23 e-mail lists. Target market segments covered by Penton are industrial/business management, engineering/technical, electronics, plant operations, industrial safety, food service, hospitality and government.
The files are selectable by geography, title, buying influence, standard industry classification and employee size. Base prices range from $120/M to $205/M for postal lists and are $300/M for e-mail files.
With the outsourcing of the lists, Penton has closed its in-house list operation as part of corporate restructuring, according to the firm.
