‘Meet The Masters,’ New Video Series From DM News

DM News, in collaboration with the firm Curtis Hanson Meade Productions, has announced a new video series – “Meet The Masters” – in which prominent practitioners and supplier firms in the field of direct, database and online marketing can retain DM News to conduct videotaped interviews of their CEOs or other executives, which will then be archived and marketed by DM News.

The goals of the new program, according to DM News publisher Ron Sichler, include building an editorial library of interesting and informative interviews of leading industry figures, as well as providing participating executives and their companies with a promotional tool that they can use in their sales, marketing and public relations efforts.

Sichler indicated that the modest price for producing the videotaped interviews will include a supply of free copies in the company’s choice of DVD, CD or VHS format. Participating companies will also have the option of purchasing an unlimited quantity of additional units of the production at cost. After each interview is taped, edited and packaged, it will be marketed in DM News print and online editions and archived for future use by interested parties.

“These ‘Meet The Masters’ interviews will make a wonderful branding and promotional tool for companies,” Sichler said. “They can be mailed to customers and prospects, shown in your trade show booth or used on sales calls, training sessions or on your web site. DM News entered video journalism in 2003 with a number of topical, issue-oriented panel discussions and interviews moderated by DM News editor in chief Tad Clarke. These included “E-Mail Marketing Under the Gun,” “Telemarketing in Turmoil” and a one-on-one interview with economist and futurist Don Libey called “The Wal-Martization of America & The Rebirth of Direct Marketing.”

John Hanson Roegner, the firm’s executive producer and director, has advanced degrees in writing, directing and producing from the Stanford University and Michigan State University.
