Marckini leaves iProspect for Isobar

Global digital marketing services network Isobar has appointed Fredrick Marckini to the newly created position of chief global search officer.

Mr. Marckini is giving up his role as CEO of search engine marketing firm iProspect to help expand iProspect and Isobar’s global search practice. Rob Murray, who is in his eighth year as president of iProspect, will succeed him.

“As chief global search officer, I will be helping iProspect drive their best practices in every major global market,” Mr. Marckini said. “I will be launching new iProspect offices worldwide and will help internationalize and unify the company’s global search offering.”

He will lead teams in Watertown, MA, and London as part of this effort from Isobar. These teams will roll out iProspect’s leading natural search engine optimization and pay-per-click advertising tools through the Isobar network.

Mr. Marckini founded iProspect in 1996. He is widely considered to be an expert in search engine marketing. He has authored three books and is considered one of the pioneers of search engine marketing.

He has twice been on the list of BtoB Magazine’s “Who’s Who in Search Engine Marketing” and twice led iProspect to listings on both the Inc. 500 and the Deloitte & Touche Fast 500.

Mr. Marckini frequently speaks at industry conferences around the country, including Search Engine Strategies, ad:tech, the iMedia Summit, Search Insider Summit and the eMarketing Association Conference.
