The Next Step Magazine, a college, career and life-planning magazine for high school students, recently re-launched its Web site to create an online community for college candidates.
The new site at www.nextstepmag.com features a user-friendly redesign that aims to serve as a central location and source for education-minded teens looking for the latest news, trends and tips about college planning.
The “Next Stepper” membership program is an additional new feature. The teen community offers numerous categories for students to speak about anything from extracurricular activities and financial aid to test preparation.
Students that register with the online community are eligible to win scholarships, prizes and enter writing contests. An annual $5,000 scholarship is currently being offered.
There is a special section for parents and guidance counselors that offers networking opportunities to help build relationships between all parties involved in the college planning process.
The Next Step Magazine is distributed to more than 20,500 high schools nationwide and offers a bilingual Hispanic edition. Next Step Publishing, Rochester, NY, publishes the magazine.
