Lyris Releases Deliverability Findings in Q1 ’06 Report

E-mail marketing services firm Lyris Technologies said the combined average rate of gross and inbox deliverability of permission-based e-mail marketing messages for U.S. and European Internet and e-mail service providers stayed constant from Q4 ’05 to Q1 ’06.

Lyris, Emeryville, CA, claimed gross deliverability rates for European providers was 94 percent, while the U.S. providers’ rate went down 6 percent from the previous quarter to 86 percent.

In terms of inbox deliverability, U.S. Internet and e-mail service providers went down to 82 percent compared with European inbox delivery rates of 94 percent. False-positive spam filtering is higher in the U.S. with 7.7 percent of valid messages getting blocked compared to 3.5 percent in Europe.
