Advertising and marketing communications agency, Lowe Lintas & Partners Worldwide, New York, a unit of Interpublic’s Lowe Group, said yesterday it was forming a joint venture partnership with The Zipatoni Company, a St. Louis promotions agency.
Dubbing their new alliance, Lowe Lintas Zipatoni, the companies are headquartering their operation in Chicago with additional offices in New York and St. Louis. Terms were undisclosed, but Lowe Lintas & Partners, U.S. president Bruce Kelly promised the venture would “deliver a whole new level of effective and memorable work for clients.”
Lowe Lintas also said that its agency-of-record relationship with SBC Communications, Dallas, TX would be ending as of May 1, 2000 following a consolidation of marketing resources by the company and geographic shift of its Ameritech brand operation to San Antonio. The change will result in the closing of the Lowe Lintas' Chicago branch office; however, Lowe Lintas Columbian, the agency’s wholly owned and operated direct marketing firm, will not be affected.
