Los Angeles Galaxy boosts ticket sales with StratTix

The Los Angeles Galaxy, two-time winners of the Major League Soccer Cup, is the first team in the league to use StratBridge’s StratTix ticket-analysis software to maximize ticket sales during the season.

Alexi Lalas, team president and general manager, uses Boston-based StratBridge‘s StratTix to see up-to-the-minute information about sold and available seating.

The software allows Lalas and his sales staff to cull ticket information from a variety of sources to gain a real-time view of ticket inventories via a graphical representation of The Home Depot Center, the home stadium of the Los Angeles Galaxy.

With just a couple of clicks, the team can identify previously hidden ticket purchase patterns and trends within a single game or the entire season; track the effect marketing campaigns such as advertising, promotions and direct mail have on sales; and monitor the effects of price changes on sales both visually and quantitatively.

“StratTix gives us better understanding of where we are and where we’re going, which is important, especially this season with international star David Beckham joining our team,” Lalas said in a statement. “StratTix tells me everything I need to know about our fans: who they are, where they’re sitting and their buying patterns at the game. This helps us develop more creative promotions to ensure increased ticket sales.”

StratTix is already widely used in the NBA, MLB, NHL and the Arena Football League.
