LinkedIn Groups get a new look

LinkedIn announced a major redesign for its popular Groups feature today. Through Groups, LinkedIn users can create online communities around a particular topic, shared interest or profession.

While there isn’t much change in functionality or added features, the layout is easier to read topically, and it looks more like…well Facebook. Not necessarily a bad thing. The old groups layout seemed to be cluttered with too much text. This new layout organizes the topic and responses better visually, and also allows the display of multimedia links such as video or pictures to show up in posts with thumbnails.
