The technology from Endeca, Cambridge, MA, lets KBtoys.com customers search precisely for merchandise. Improved navigation will let visitors search by toy and video game brands, categories and characters on KBtoys.com and eToys.com.
Also, searchers will be offered promotions relevant to their searches. Such guided navigation is in line with KBtoys.com's strategy for boutiques or stores of related merchandise.
A better search engine not only eases trawling through the retailer's inventory of thousands of toys. It potentially boosts conversion rates and average order size because of easy navigation and shopping.
