E-mail marketing firm SubscriberMail has hired John Sather as vice president of sales to help grow the company.
Previously, Mr. Sather was director of sales and area general manager at design think tank DMX Inc., Austin, TX. There he led the sales, operations, marketing and administration for a seven-state region.
“I am joining this successful team and will add my history of consultative skills to the customer service mix,” Mr. Sather said.
Prior to DMX, Sather was sales and customer service manager for Chicago Legal Copy Solutions, Chicago, which provides legal firms and corporations with analog and electronic document management and courtroom graphics services. While at the company, he improved overall sales by 30 percent in one year.
Sather also held positions at IKON Document Services, 3M/Commercial Audio Systems and Muzak LLP. He has a bachelor’s degree from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL.
Mr. Sather sees e-mail as a growing channel.
“As the U.S. Postal Service continues to boost rates, e-mail marketing becomes increasingly attractive to direct marketers as an efficient channel to reach a targeted audience,” Mr. Sather said. “This is a high-growth industry because with e-mail marketers can economically send targeted, trackable messages and quickly engage with their customers.”
