James Truman left Condé Nast Publications after an 11-year stint as editorial director and a tenure that included the supervision of the iconic Condé Nast Building at New York's 4 Times Square.
British-born Truman, a former editor-in-chief of Details and features editor on Vogue, plans to move to Spain.
His successor at Condé Nast's top editorial job is Thomas J. Wallace, editor-in-chief of Condé Nast Traveler and a 16-year veteran of that magazine. The appointment is effective immediately. Wallace took the helm of Condé Nast Traveler in 1990 after holding editorial positions on The New York Times, Newsday and the Stamford (CT) Advocate.
