Eyeing business potential in the Northeast,i-on interactive Inc., Boca Raton, FL, has opened an office in New York.
The shop hopes to develop new client relationships and to work more closely with freelance technical and creative talent in New York. It also seeks to license its i-on interactive site framework, a software platform for Web applications.
“We work with retained independent contractors who are specialists in their fields,” said Scott Brinker, chief technology officer at i-on. “This gives us more flexibility in accurately matching resources to projects than most shops.”
The firm has already worked with clients in the New York area, particularly in the fashion industry, such as John Barrett Salon. Other i-on clients include Citrix and skin care products cataloger Skin Store, for which it created skinstore.com.
