IMediation, a brand and channel management software provider, has joined the Siebel Alliance Program as a Premier Partner, the company said yesterday.
As a partner, iMediation bolsters Siebel's eBusiness Applications.
The eBusiness Applications of the San Mateo, CA-based company let organizations create a single source of customer information that makes it easier to serve, sell to and market to customers across multiple channels.
IMediation's iChannel works with Siebel's eChannel to try to extend capabilities in online collaborative selling, branding and merchandising.
The integration of eChannel and iChannel will enable businesses “to bring their entire selling chain online and optimize it to increase market share and revenue,” said Bill Miller, chief operating officer for iMediation.
“A lot of small companies partner with Siebel to gain traction with their products and services,” said Dana Serman, an analyst with brokerage firm Lazard Freres.
Serman said eCRM providers such as eGain or Kana would add much greater value to Siebel's online channel offering if they joined, as would larger online content providers such as Broadvision and Vignette.
San Francisco-based iMediation's clients include Hewlett-Packard and Philips.
