IMarket, Zapdata.com Adds New Sources to Database

Marketing data and software vendor iMarket Inc., Waltham, MA, and its Internet business unit, zapdata.com, today introduced added advertising spending and decision-maker data sources to its integrated database.

The new data includes detailed information on advertising spending in every U.S. market and data on decision-makers in the medical, insurance, real estate, education and high technology industries.

The new data providers include Ad Audit Services Inc., American List Counsel Inc. and Market Data Retrieval. The services offer the following data:

* The Ad Audit Services Inc. database includes 11 million records estimating advertising spending by media choice and business category for every U.S. market. The data is used regularly by most of the nation's largest newspapers to re-align territories, measure competition and track trends.

* American List Counsel is a full-service mailing list and database manager and broker that compiles contact names from more than 76 sources. ALC contributes more than 3.9 million names, including high tech executives, medical specialists, hospital personnel, insurance agents, real estate agents and accountants.

* Market Data Retrieval, a Dun & Bradstreet company, is the leading U.S. supplier of information about the education market. MDR compiles data and contacts directly from schools, school districts and colleges.

IMarket says the additional information will allow sales and marketing executives to find the best prospects more precisely.

“The new data we've made available will enable our customers to achieve real return on their marketing and sales investments,” said Will Reynolds, president and CEO, iMarket.

IMarket's integrated database includes data from dozens of sources — allowing direct marketers to create highly-detailed prospecting lists as well as perform comprehensive market analysis functions, such as sizing potential markets, determining the demographic profile of their customer base or appending detailed information to their inhouse customer/prospect files.

The iMarket integrated database can be accessed via iMarket's Marketplace software suite or by accessing the company's online applications at zapdata.com.
