IDG Puts Industry Standard Files Back on List Market

IDG Communications List Services has put some of the Industry Standard postal and e-mail lists back on the market for rental.

The files include the Industry Standard's postal and e-mail lists of qualified subscribers, its e-mail newsletter subscribers and its postal and e-mail lists of event attendees.

The Standard ceased publication Aug. 16 and the files were removed from the list market in September when the assets of Standard Media International, the parent of the Standard, were sold in a bankruptcy auction.

IDG List's parent company, International Data Group, was at one time the majority owner of Standard Media. It purchased the Standard's technology, intellectual property, trademarks, newsletters, conference arm and the qualified subscriber in the bankruptcy auction on Sept. 24.

AOL Time Warner's Time Inc. division bought the paid subscriber list, which is not currently available for rental.
