We recently reported Pinterest’s intentions to start introducing ads to its platform.
Here are the results on a poll we conducted on the same story, where we asked our readers, “How will Pinterest users react to seeing ads on the platform?”
And the answers were:
The majority (55%) accepted ads as an inevitable part of any sustainable social media platform. They aren’t ideal, and many find them intrusive, but if it meant using Pinterest for free, users were willing to put up with it. The rest of the respondents were split almost evenly between those who hated the idea of ads (25%) and those who thought ads might be attractive or even useful to look at (20%).
