The Mark Zuckerberg founded political group FWD.us funded a new political ad encouraging immigration reform, with a slightly revised tone.
Probably sensitive to criticism that his pushing of immigration reform was only to get more tech workers into the country, Zuckerberg has been making an effort to show that he’s for all inclusive immigration reform.
In this ad, the focus is all about a young Latino man who wants to become a US Marine, but can’t because he’s undocumented. No mention of H-1B visas, tech or highly-skilled workers. This one’s about wanting to be American, and an immigration system that is broken for everyone.
