Harte-Hanks Inc., San Antonio, a customer relationship management service company, said yesterday it acquired Information Resource Group, Detroit, a business-to-business intelligence solutions provider to the hi-tech, communications and other industries.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Established in 1983, IRG develops databases and related solutions that provide information on buyers and suppliers of technology products and services. The company's Web-enabled solutions are used by sales, marketing and research professionals in more than 300 technology and other organizations.
The acquisition follows Harte-Hanks' acquiring last year of ZD Market Intelligence from Ziff-Davis Inc. This acquisition allows the company to sell database products and solutions specifically targeted to the hi-tech and communications industries.
