The George Lucas Educational Foundation’s Edutopia magazine has partnered with CustomFlix Labs Inc., a subsidiary of Internet retailer Amazon.com Inc.
Edutopia will distribute educational program DVDs using CustomFlix Create Your Own DVD service.
The on-demand tool lets educators browse 100 foundation documentaries about the best practices in K-12 education. It also has clips that can be used to create customized educational DVDs for presentations, workshops and in-classroom use.
Topics available include professional development, technology integration, business and community involvement along with other clips relevant to classroom use.
Educators can access pre-made DVDs on Amazon.com about project-based learning, social and emotional learning, assessment, school-to-career education, math and science.
DVDs are available for purchase at Edutopia.org or at CustomFlix. Pre-made DVDs can be found at Amazon.com.
