Former Fingerhut customer list marketing director Douglas E. Johnson has been named vice president of marketing at The Sportsman's Guide Inc., the company announced this week.
Johnson will oversee the development of business plans; implementation and analysis of testing; mailing decisions; forecasting of sales; income and units; and interaction with the company's merchandising and creative departments in developing catalog strategies.
Prior to joining The Sportsman's Guide, Johnson spent 18 years at Fingerhut Cos., Minnetonka, MN. The Sportsman's Guide, St. Paul, MN, is a catalog and Internet company that offers outdoor gear and general merchandise.
