Firstlogic Debuts IQ Watch

Firstlogic Inc. unveiled IQ Watch yesterday, a data quality solution that it said gives businesses a pragmatic, technology-based approach to managing interdiction list compliance.

Firstlogic, La Crosse, WI, said the product was developed because of increased regulatory scrutiny that has required more businesses to pursue reliable measures to compare internal databases and transactions against lists from U.S. federal agencies and global sources as well as comply with the USA Patriot Act and U.S. Bank Secrecy Act.

The first release of IQ Watch supports 16 distinctive interdiction lists, including those from the U.S. Office of Foreign Asset Control, U.S. FBI Most Wanted, U.S. Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, European Union Consolidated List, Interpol Most Wanted, U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security Denied Persons, and Canadian Office of the Supervision of Financial Institutions.

Verifying current business data against these lists helps ensure businesses do not unknowingly support identified criminal activity such as money laundering or drug trafficking, Firstlogic said.

IQ Watch incorporates Firstlogic's data cleansing and data matching technologies to provide a more accurate, automated solution for watch list compliance. IQ Watch will be commercially available at the end of 2005.
