Experian promotes Lundal to SVP

Experian promoted Jeff Lundal to SVP and general manager of data management services on December 22. It is a new position at the marketing services provider.

“[Lundal] has an incredibly broad breadth of experience,” said Matt Seeley, group president of Experian Marketing Services North America. “[He was brought] to the organization because he understands customer information and he knows how to sell. He came with a strategic vision. He sees things further ahead, and he knows how and why to put pieces together.”

Seeley said Lundal has been tasked with executing Experian’s strategic growth initiatives and operational efforts.

With this promotion, Experian is reorganizing its corporate structure to make product general managers responsible for their own sales forces. That will “allow them to better focus on the product sales,” said Seeley.

The services provider also partnered with customer engagement firm Alterian in November to create a platform to help businesses develop a holistic view of the customer.

“When you look at the markets today and all the channels where customers are, having the ability to understand the customer has never been more important,” Seeley said. “[Lundal] understands this, and that’s why we’ve put him in this position.”

He was previously SVP of sales and led the centralized sales force of the marketing services platforms group, which includes Experian CheetahMail, Experian Hitwise and Experian Data Management Services.

Prior to joining Experian, Lundal held positions at Responsys, Abacus/DoubleClick and CSC Advanced Database Solutions, which was acquired by DoubleClick in 2003.
