Search engine Excite, Redwood City, CA, and public venture capital firm Technology Funding, San Mateo, CA, recently announced an online advertising agreement for a marketing campaign to promote Technology Funding's venture capital fund. The fund allows investors to participate in a professionally managed venture capital fund for as little as $1,000. The campaign will run through Dec. 5.
Excite will promote the offering through banner ads on its two main sites, www.excite.com and www.webcrawler.com, along with co-branded areas of Netscape's NetCenter. The ads will appear in a rotating frequency that will be determined by online advertising management service MatchLogic.
