E-mail marketing software firm ExactTarget, Indianapolis, IN, said Monday that it added Pier 1 Imports and Icelandair as new customers.
The recent addition of Pier 1, Icelandair and several other customers, helped ExactTarget hit the 5,000-customer mark, representing the number of organizations contracted to use its e-mail software annually.
Pier 1 Imports, Fort Worth, TX, is a major client. The retailer operates more than 1,200 stores in the U.S., Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico, and has an e-commerce Web site and gift registry.
Icelandair, based in Reykjavik, Iceland, flies to 22 cities in 12 countries.
With ExactTarget’s software, both companies will be using their existing databases and customer relationship systems to target customers with the right message at the right time, Chris Baggott, chief marketing officer of ExactTarget, told DMNews.
