Euro RSCG Gives Life to Healthcare Agency Network

Euro RSCG Worldwide, owned by French holding company Havas Advertising, combined its healthcare marketing and communications agencies into one network with its own financial reporting structure.

The new umbrella unit, Euro RSCG Life, comprises 44 healthcare-focused shops in 16 markets. It has 1,000 employees, offering expertise in advertising, direct and interactive, public relations, event promotion, consulting and medical-education marketing.

“It's part of the 'Power of One' strategy that we launched back in May 2002 when we realigned our 11 offices in the U.S. into two big agencies — Euro RSCG MVBMS Partners and Euro RSCG Tatham Partners,” said Peggy Nahmany, global communications director at Euro RSCG.

Based in New York, Euro RSCG Life begins with billings of $1.64 billion. Euro RSCG Worldwide's global billings are $12.6 billion.

The move precedes further consolidation in the healthcare industry and the introduction of new guidelines that will affect pharmaceutical pricing.

Sander Flaum becomes chairman of Euro RSCG Life. He was CEO of Robert A. Becker Euro RSCG. Ron Pantello, previously CEO of LM&P parent Euro RSCG Healthview, will be CEO of the new entity.
