Epsilon strengthens sales team

Multichannel, data-driven marketing technologies and services provider Epsilon has added two senior members to its sales team.

Don Steele has been named senior vice president of the Strategic Database Solutions group. He will be responsible for managing and driving new business across multiple verticals. In addition, Gina Carfagno has joined the team as vice president, cross-channel sales. She will work directly with Ralph Searfoss, executive vice president of cross-channel sales, on Epsilon’s data-centric offerings.

Mr. Steele joins Dallas-based Epsilon from Acxiom, where he was a senior client executive responsible for developing business across the automotive, insurance, investment/brokerage, media/publishing, retail, technology, telecommunications, and travel and leisure industries. He led a staff of more than 160 people. He also oversaw a national and international business portfolio in the hundreds of millions.

Before joining Acxiom in 2002, Mr. Steele was president and CEO of Cofiniti, a financial planning software company. His career also includes sales leadership positions at Trilogy Software and IBM.

Ms. Carfagno joins Epsilon from Merkle, where she was responsible for the development of new business, primarily in the CRM, data and database markets. Prior to Merkle, Ms. Carfagno spent more than 13 years developing expertise in the sale of large, complex customer and prospecting database solutions leveraging data acquisition and management, analytics, email, telemarketing, and fulfillment services.
