Epsilon partners with Air2Web on mobile integration

Epsilon has formed a global strategic partnership with Air2Web, in which the mobile messaging platform is Epsilon’s primary mobile partner. Under the agreement, Epsilon can resell and integrate Air2Web’s technology into its client offerings.

The deal was signed in late September. Financial terms were not disclosed.

Air2Web’s opt-in mobile marketing services include SMS communications, content downloads, like wall paper and ringtones, and WAP development.

“Mobile in general is a growing part of our offering,” said Bryan Kennedy, CEO of Epsilon. “One thing we wanted to focus on is helping clients navigate the complexity of the proliferation of channels.”

He explained that Epsilon has a customer-centric strategy, rather than a channel-specific one. So the ability to reach consumers at every touchpoint is important.

Kennedy added that Epsilon was able to easily integrate Air2Web’s technology into its platform.

Bentley Hines, director of channel sales at Air2Web, said that the agreement “gives a greater value add for clients than just buying standalone messaging services.”

Hines added Epsilon was a natural fit as a partner because the companies have mutual customers, though he wouldn’t name specific clients.

“We have applications that focus on mobile messaging and campaign management,” he said. “Epsilon can leverage those applications in many ways, from a simple mobile text campaign, to a sophisticated two-way ‘text-in-for-more-information’ type of campaign.”

Air2Web also has relationships with Teradata and Premier Global Services.
