Epsilon Interactive Buys Big Designs

Epsilon Interactive, an e-mail marketing and automation technologies firm, has bought Big Designs Inc., a design company with clients like Time Warner, A&E Networks, Hearst, American Express and Polo Ralph Lauren.

Big Design president Anthony D’Elia now will lead Epsilon Interactive’s creative services team. He served as design director on magazines like ESPN The Magazine, Marie Claire, Living Well and Smart Money before starting his own company.

Terms were not disclosed.

Epsilon Interactive is part of database services provider Epsilon, itself a unit of Alliance Data. Clients include Northwest Airlines, Washington Post/Newsweek Interactive and Expedia.

The firm’s creative services unit offers strategic consulting, concept development, copywriting, design and support for online marketing programs. Design services include e-mail newsletters, online banners and custom microsites.
