Internet-based E-Commerce University has launched new diploma programs even as it opens a representative office in India.
The expansion into India reflects the growing importance of the subcontinent in the world economy. In addition to offering courses to Indian students, the university will offer additional diploma programs, one in Internet search law and another in offshore e-commerce law.
The Internet search law program offers coursework in legal approaches to the Internet, both nationally and internationally, along with legal issues regarding the operability of search engine sites.
The offshore e-commerce law program offers coursework in issues regarding e-commerce business structure, tax and the impact of legislation on offshore online businesses.
The Irvine, CA-based online university already offers diplomas in Internet law, cyber crime and online torts, e-commerce tax and offshore e-commerce. The courses are targeted at professionals like attorneys, accountants, executives, search marketers, marketing experts and IT specialists.
The next diploma programs are slated to start Sept. 4.
