E-centives, a provider of interactive direct marketing technologies and services, completed its acquisition of the assets of Consumer Review, the company said yesterday.
Consumer Review is a source for consumer product reviews and information on the Web. E-centives said that Consumerreview.com would be run as a separate business unit of E-centives.
E-centives will make its interactive relationship marketing platform — including data warehousing, personalized e-mail marketing and patented couponing technologies — available to Consumerreview.com to enhance services to its consumer visitors and advertisers. Similarly, E-centives will adopt Consumerreview.com's product review and feedback technology to its platform.
Eleven sites make up the ConsumerRE.com network of vertical Web communities, including Mtbreview.com, Audioreview.com and Photographyreview.com. These sites post thousands of reviews written by and for consumers, as well as product ratings, price-comparison services and information on where to get the best deals. Consumers also can conduct online discussions about mountain bikes, cars, photography, computers and other products.
