DoubleClick, 24/7 Real Media, Tacoda Systems Join OPA

DoubleClick Inc., 24/7 Real Media and Tacoda Systems Inc. Friday joined The Online Publishers Association as the organization's first associate members.

The OPA, a trade group that represents the interests of online publishers, said it introduced associate memberships in December to let vendors and companies that are not directly involved in publishing have a say in industry developments.

Mark Naples, vice president of marketing and privacy officer for 24/7 Real Media, said the company already works with many of the OPA's members. The company's alliance with the OPA is “a natural fit for us,” he said.

Tacoda Systems, New York, provides audience management software for online marketers. The company was founded by Dave Morgan, former CEO of Real Media.

The OPA, which was established in June 2001, currently has 23 members, including New York Times Digital, Wall Street Journal Online and MSNBC.com.
