DMA Will Debut BTB Show for September

The Direct Marketing Association announced a new business-to-business conference yesterday that will focus on the various communication channels business-to-business marketers use.

The first B-to-B Marketing Conference is scheduled to take place Sept. 18-20 at the Wigwam Resort in Phoenix, AZ.

According to the DMA, show sessions will focus on how to align the marketing functions with the sales cycle for maximum sales impact and how to find the right mix of marketing communication channels to create demand. Other topics will include branding, print and broadcast media, public relations, trade shows, direct mail, lead generation and management, e-mail marketing and integrated marketing communications.

The DMA said that since the business and marketing needs of BTB marketers vary by industry, it will create four pre-conference programs focusing on hi-tech, business services, manufacturing industries and advanced techniques in demand generation.

Speakers scheduled to appear include David Sable, president/CEO, Wunderman, and Jere Brooks King, vice president, worldwide marketing communications, Cisco Systems, Inc.
