DMA Creates Teleservices Page

The Direct Marketing Association launched a new page on its Web site yesterday for telemarketers, a move it said was prompted by current efforts to increase regulation of the teleservices industry.

Located at www.the-dma.org/channels/teleservices.shtml, the homepage contains links to DMA research, councils, information and services. DMA senior vice president Michael Faulker said the page would help the $661 billion industry protect itself by providing marketers with tools and information to help them influence regulators.

It is one of nine industry-specific pages the DMA has planned to appear on its Web site during the next several weeks. Other pages will be geared toward agencies and consultants, catalogs, consumer marketing, financial services, Internet, lists and databases and publishing.

The DMA established pages for international and business-to-business marketing within the past year.
