(www.dialog.com), Mountainview, CA, announced recently that it will target the e-commerce industry with the launch of Planet Retail (www.planetretail.com), a comparative shopping service for consumers. Among the companies taking part are Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, Dell Computers, Eddie Bauer, Land's End, Office Max, Disney, Gateway and Office Depot.
Planet Retail will allow consumers to determine the best prices from 100 Internet retailers in 11 main categories such as books, clothing and electronic products. Consumers will also be given the opportunity to browse product reviews, company profiles and relevant news and research regarding products.
