DHL Global Mail Drives Awareness With Porsche

DHL Global Mail will team with Porsche Motorsports in a marketing deal designed to increase its awareness and build customer relationships in the U.S. market throughout the 2006 American Le Mans Series, the carrier said yesterday.

DHL Global Mail, Weston, FL, provides domestic and international solutions to high-volume mailers. Through its global network of 40 processing centers, the company distributes business correspondence, direct mail, catalogs, publications and parcels.

Value-added services include production services, online tracking and reporting, address correction, mail activity reports and chargeback systems. DHL Global Mail is 100 percent owned by Deutsche Post World Net.

The DHL Global Mail logo will display prominently on two Porsche RS Spyder prototypes driven by the Penske Motorsports racing team during the series. Porsche Motorsports returns to the international prototype motor sports arena after a seven-year absence with the new RS Spyder.

A DHL Global Mail branded car debuts Oct. 15 at the Monterey Sports Car Championships at Laguna Seca Raceway in Monterey, CA. The two prototype cars will carry DHL Global Mail's yellow and red colors throughout the 2006 ALMS season.

The Porsche deal will offer a platform for business contacts and unique access to race venues and hospitality to DHL Global Mail customers nationwide, DHL Global Mail said.
