E-mail newsletter and Web site DailyCandy released Find Me Candy, a new service that helps subscribers search its archives using cell phones or mobile devices.
Users send a text message to [email protected] specifying a category and location. The text message then scans the DailyCandy archives and makes a recommendation. Locations require a specific address or intersection.
DailyCandy reviews of restaurants, bars, shops, salons and spas are available on the service.
The free service works in all DailyCandy cities, including New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, San Francisco, Boston, Dallas, Washington D.C., Atlanta and Philadelphia.
