CRM Association Names Leaders, Opens Oregon, Chapter

The Customer Relationship Management Association said yesterday it appointed Chris Selland president and Sheryl Kingstone vice president.

The positions were carved to expand the Atlanta-based association in the United States and overseas.

Selland founded Reservoir Partners LP, a CRM-focused firm offering research, advisory and consulting services. He will be the association's main spokesman, coordinating with members, chapter heads and those on the national board.

Kingstone is program manager of Yankee Group's CRM Strategies Planning Services. Her duties there include researching and writing about sales and marketing effectiveness, partner relationship management, and CRM infrastructure and delivery strategies.

As association vice president, Kingstone will maintain relationships with national sponsors. She will create national sponsorship programs and attract new sponsors. Also, she will coordinate member benefits programs, watch for partnership opportunities and review the site at www.crm-a.org.

Meanwhile, the association announced the opening of a regional chapter in Portland, OR. Jason Johnson is the chapter founder.

Ginger Cooper in May 2002 founded the Customer Relationship Management Association, starting with the Atlanta chapter. The goal is to exchange ideas, processes, technologies and trends to improve relationships with clients and partners.

The group now has nine regional chapters including Baltimore/Washington, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Philadelphia, San Diego and Seattle/Northwest. There is also a chapter in Dublin, Ireland. It has national sponsors like hosted software provider Salesforce.com and consultancy Tectura.
