Country Weekly magazine has published a special December issue in tribute to American service personnel. The collector’s edition, titled Salute to America and Our Troops, is available on newsstands only, and the 2009 Ford F-150 is the exclusive sponsor.
“Salute to America and Our Troops is Country Weekly‘s way of thanking the members of our armed forces serving America, as well as recognizing the many country stars who regularly show their support of the troops through music and USO tours,” said Larry Holden, editor-in-chief of Country Weekly, in a statement.
The issue also features a guide to organizations that help the troops, veterans and military families, as well as ways to send letters or packages to soldiers overseas.
Ford, in cooperation with the USO, also is providing for a large shipment of complimentary copies to be sent to troops abroad.
The 72-page publication is Country Weekly’s first in a series of stand-alone issues. Six additional newsstand-only issues are planned for 2009.
