Application service provider Convio Inc., Austin, TX, said Friday that it released Convio eCommerce, a tool to help nonprofit organizations sell merchandise online.
With the tool, nonprofits can create online stores on their Web sites that look like the rest of the site. It can help organizations integrate their fundraising and retailing, Convio said.
The tool lets nonprofits create and update product catalogs; showcase item details; search items for sale and upsell/cross-sell. It also has shopping cart, checkout and shipping calculation functions.
Convio eCommerce also tracks each shopper's purchases, interests and online interactions with the organization and updates the user's profile, which is stored in an online database.
