Teleservices agents for Convergys Corp. will provide inbound support for customers of Comcast's high-speed Internet and digital phone services, Convergys said yesterday.
Financial details of the contract were not disclosed. Convergys, Cincinnati, will provide technical support services, order management and customer care for Comcast using telephone, e-mail and Web chat communications in English and Spanish.
Convergys described the contract as “multi-year” but did not reveal specifics about its provisions. Comcast, Philadelphia, will continue to provide additional local customer support to its cable television customers from its offices located throughout its service areas, Convergys said.
Convergys operates 45 customer contact centers worldwide that process more than 1.7 million customer interactions over telephone and Internet daily.
